Trident Seafoods Paid Parental Leave
Trident Seafoods Paid Maternity and Parental Leave benefits provide eligible employees paid time off to care for their newborn or adopted child. For further details, please refer to Trident's Leave of Absence Policy, posted on this page.
Eligible employees are paid time off to care for their newborn or adopted child as follows:
Paid Maternity Leave: Eligible mothers giving birth are able to receive 8 weeks of pay at 100%* during the recovery from childbirth. In addition, they are eligible for 2 weeks paid parental leave and may receive up to 10 weeks of paid leave.
Paid Parental Leave: All eligible parents of newborn or adopted children are able to receive 4 weeks of pay at 100%* for bonding leave. Bonding leave must be taken in one-week increments and within one year of the event (birth or adoption).
*Employees working in Washington State must apply for benefits under the Washington Paid Family & Medical Leave (WA-PFML) program in order to receive Trident Paid Parental Leave. Under Washington State law, Trident Paid Parental Leave is considered “supplemental” and therefore can be used to make up the difference from income replacement . Please go to Washington Paid Family & Medical Leave page to learn more.
