BASIC LIFE - Life insurance pays your beneficiary a benefit if you die while you are covered.

ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT (AD&D) - AD&D insurance provides benefits due to certain injuries or death from an accident.

Note: The IRS requires that the imputed value of employer provided life insurance exceeding $50,000 be added as taxable income to the employee.

You may elect Conversion (to a whole life policy) or Portability (to a group policy) if your basic life insurance coverage ends due to reduction of hours, leave of absence, or termination of employment before Normal Retirement age under the policy.
